1. Starting the Car and Driving Off
- Using the Key: Insert the key into the ignition (or press the start button if equipped with keyless start).
- Before starting, press the brake pedal.
- Gear Selection (Automatic): Shift into D (Drive).
2. Parking Brake and Auto Hold
- The electronic parking brake releases automatically when you begin driving (if equipped).
- Auto Hold can keep the car stationary at traffic lights – check the instrument cluster to see if it’s activated.
3. Instrument Cluster and Controls
From the instrument panel you can see:
- Speed and RPM
- Fuel level and consumption
- Lane departure warnings and traffic sign recognition alerts
4. Cruise Control
- Activate: Press the CRUISE button (icon or “CRUISE” text).
- Set speed: Drive at the desired speed and press SET+ or SET- to save it.
- Increase speed: Tap RES/+ briefly or hold to raise the speed by multiple km/h.
5. Climate and Comfort
- Most models include dual-zone automatic climate control → adjust temperatures separately for both sides.
- Seat and steering wheel heating are controlled by buttons on the center console.
6. Driver Assistance and Warnings
- Lane departure warning may alert you with vibrations or sound if you cross a lane marking.
- Traffic sign recognition displays speed limits in the instrument panel.
- Emergency braking assist can brake on your behalf if needed.
7. Refueling
- Open the fuel flap by pressing it from the outside (no lever inside the car).
- For petrol models: Use 95 E10 gasoline.
